yet another data point showing client computing to be far bigger than data center and enterprise.
  • Deicidium369 - Tuesday, May 5, 2020 - link

Well since AMD doesn't have any market share in the datacenter - it's not much of a data point.

oh but it is. take AMD epyc revenue (lets ignore console also being there) multiply by 4 to account for a likely increase in market share over the next 2 years, and its still much less than what they are earning now in client computing. enof said.

azfacea he doesnt care, he is an intel shill all the way, that can clearly be seen by the majority of his posts.

    Grammar error:

"Looking forward, like other hardware vendors, AMD is attempting the navigate the current coronavirus crisis."
    "to" not "the":
"Looking forward, like other hardware vendors, AMD is attempting to navigate the current coronavirus crisis."

Nice article! Thanks for breaking down the GPU/CPU market!

The Intel shills are notable by their absence from this thread. How curious 🧐

Spam filter was eating posts when the article went up. No one could post, be they Intel or AMD zealots.

    Spam filter...yeah, ok. 🙄

Poor results - big whopping $160M net - same as the last several quarters - except that one where they made like $10. Even of they spent 100% of net in R&D - that still $640M vs $2.5B Nvidia R&D + $13B Intel R&D. Intel spends more on office furniture than AMD spends on R&D. LMAO.

Revenue down, net earnings flat. Where are these big gains again?

Yet AMD are ahead in Mobile and Desktop CPUs. Funny that.
