Right on cue NVIDIA has delivered another game ready driver for a collection of newly released titles. Bringing, alongside the typical performance and stability reasons, additional graphical improvements to the games in question.

NVIDIA’s 362.00 WHQL driver release continues through the 361 driver branch. Furthermore, there are no new issue fixes reported by NVIDIA this time around.

This driver provides game ready support for the recently released Farcry Primal, including performance optimizations and an SLI profile. Game ready support is also provided for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, bringing to the original Gears of War improved graphics, 60FPS, and support for resolutions up to and including 4k, alongside the inclusion of NVIDIA’s own HBAO+.

Dying Light and the recent Dying Light: The Following have received NVIDIA GameWorks Percentage Closer Soft Shadows (referred to as PCSS). This newly released technique works to further improve the believability of in game shadows by softening shadows more as the move further from the shadow caster.

Anyone interested can download the updated drivers through GeForce Experience or on the NVIDIA driver download page.

nV unified all their driver bundles with the Windows 10 initial relese. nowadays the same driver installer bundle includes driver for everything from desktop GeForce to Tesla, Quadro and mobile versions of everything. The scariest part? Checksums match for the various names for the same version.

"Built for Windows 10 64 Bit Version 1511 and greater"

1511 is from November, but I have to ask. How likely is it that future games from Microsoft will require more and more up-to-date versions of W10? It seems like this could fly directly in the face of gamers that also want to defer certain updates or all updates. Gaming on Windows 10 through the Windows Store just feels like a trap - one that will try to force PC gamers into console-like shackles. When Halo 5 or the MCC inevitably comes to the Windows Store, do you think they'll allow custom maps and mods like previous Halo PC games? I'm not so sure.

Valid point, but I don't think Microsoft is going that route anymore. They got burned with security issues too much and now they are forcing updates on everyone.

In the PC gaming VS regular security updates battle my money is always going to be on security updates.

You have to keep in mind, that Microsoft views Windows 10 as the last version of Windows.

This means that going forward we'll be seeing more version numbers, rather than the old "SP1 etc." notices we saw in past Windows versions.

1511 is basically the Threshold milestone update, so all they are saying is "Newest milestone version available required".

Another broken driver release.....and no SLI support for Windows 10.....STILL?!?!
Nvidia has become a complete joke over the last 12-14 months. Still using the 353.52 driver from last year..every driver released since has been decrease in fps gaming performance.

SLI is working fine for me in 10, and no major regressions in stability either. Sounds like your install is broken, rather than the drivers.
