Microsoft Launches Xbox All Access

Microsoft has taken the wraps off a new way to get into the Xbox ecosystem with Xbox All Access. For $21.99 per month for two years, you can get an Xbox One S, two years of Xbox Game Pass which offers over 100 games, and two years of Xbox Live Gold. If you want 4K gaming, the Xbox One X is available for $34.99 per month for two years. After the two years, the console is paid for and owned outright.
The Xbox One S offer is particularly intriguing, since it costs about $130 less than buying all of these products and services together, whereas the Xbox One X offering is only about $20 less over the course of the two years.
This is a pretty smart way try and get people into the Xbox ecosystem. There’s little doubt the up-front cost of consoles is high, especially when you look at the Xbox One X which still goes for the $500 that it was launched at almost a year ago. By adding in the Xbox Game Pass, it also adds a spotlight on a service which is likely flying under the radar a bit. For $10/month, it offers access to over 100 games, and all Xbox exclusives will be on the Xbox Game Pass on the day of release.
All new Xbox One S 1TB or Xbox One X consoles, including those packaged as a bundle with games, is available with Xbox All Access as well.
The only catch seems to be that this is currently a limited time offer, “while supplies last”. This likely means the company wants to test the waters a bit before committing to this for the long term, although it seems like a great way to provide access to the Xbox ecosystem and bring in some new customers.

I guess for those that do not have a Xbox One S or X this could be a ok deal. Now if you already a Xbox One S or X and if you could do $10US a month and it gave you access to a huge library of games and gave you Gold on a monthly basis this would be a really great deal and about the same a a monthly subscription to Netflix but you get to play games instead of watching shows and movies.jordanclock - Tuesday, August 28, 2018 - link

Yea sorry I do not own or use any consoles at the moment so did not know they already had the game service up and running even still though it is a pretty good deal for being able to play the games in an unlimited fashion well as long as you keep up with the subscription that is.Death666Angel - Wednesday, August 29, 2018 - link

For the One S you'll be paying $527 here. In reality the cost would only be about $440 if you paid the regular way. Given that you can get vouchers for the 2 services at half price. Think your math is a bit dodgy there. Two years of Xbox Live Gold is $120 ($59.99 a year) and two years of Xbox Game Pass is $240 ($10 a month). You missed the part where you can get the vouchers for half the price. I never paid $60/year for Live Gold. It's regularly available for less than $40/year and around $30 at least once a year. You can stack as well. Similarly for Games Pass (which I am not using) there was a recent deal at Target, $30 for 6 months. Even Microsoft did $10 for 3 months for new subscribers which could have been the starting point.It's a good opportunity for those who can't shell all the cash in advance, but it's a bit of ripoff in the long term.
BTW: Microsoft was selling 1 year Live Gold vouchers for $25 at Ignite Conference last year. I am sure they will do it again next month. If any of your friends are going, ask them to buy some for you.

I looked on Slickdeals, not sure what else a random person from the general public could do. Getting vouchers from a conference really isn't something a lot of people can do.I saw XBL on sale recently for ~$43/year and GP was on sale recently for $30/6mo.
Not quite half off but almost there.
